What are your responsibilities at Eastbrook?
I coordinate the nursery at Eastbrook for women’s Friday morning bible study, all 3 Sunday services and any special events that require a nursery.
What do you love about what you do?
Well, first off I love children. Babies and young children have the special ability to display all God’s creative talents. In them you can see the wonder of life and each little accomplishment is special. They bring joy and make you laugh. I love working with the parents and providing good quality care so they may attend worship or christian ed. I love getting to know them and develop a relationship with them and their children. Finally, I love working with my team. I am blessed to be surrounded by amazing volunteers who also love kids and love serving God in this manner.
If I had a free afternoon, you would find me… gardening, praying, sitting at a campfire with some coffee and a good friend.
I’ve been at Eastbrook for…28 years! I first came to Riverside High School [where Eastbrook used to meet] as a young 21-year-old college student.
My life verse is… I don’t have one verse because my has changed as the seasons change but right now it is “You will not have to fight this battle, take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow and the Lord will be with you!” (2 Chronicles 20:12,15,17)
My favorite place in the world is… right here right now, I’m happy to be where God has placed me and look forward to where he leads me in the future
Proud parent of… Edward, Isaiah, Aaron, and Lilly
Anything else you want us to know?
I have been at Eastbrook a long time and I still love it as much as when I first came here. My hope is that we will continue to be a light and let the power of the Holy Spirit have His way with us and use us as He wills.
