At Eastbrook, formally Sunday School begins in the “Let’s Grow” Preschool with children that have turned 2 years old by September 1. We have programs for preschoolers during all three Sunday services (8, 9:30 & 11 am). Preschoolers will enjoy a short Bible Story (Old and New Testament) and a related activity, with plenty of time for free play during these lessons, as well as special holiday lessons.
Preschool children attending the first service are cared for in the church nursery, directly across the hall from the Preschool rooms. Children staying for second service will be transferred to their second hour Preschool rooms and can be signed out at the Preschool counter, located immediately north of the Main Lobby (look for signs).
Children arriving for second service can be signed in at the Preschool counter, where they are separated by birth date into four different rooms. Children staying for third service may remain in their rooms, or be transferred to another Preschool room for this service. They can be signed out at the Preschool counter when the service is over.
Typically, there are only two Preschool rooms open during third service. 2-year-olds are taught in the Yellow Room, and 3-year-olds are taught in the Green Room. All Preschoolers can be signed in and out at the Preschool counter.
Please label all of your child’s belongings and let the caregivers know of any particular needs your child may have. This may include food allergies, potty training issues, and tips on how to comfort your child.
Friday mornings during the Women’s Bible Study, we offer Lambs for children (ages 2-5) of women who are attending the study. 2-year-olds may enroll in Lambs as long as the child turns 2 by September 1. Use the form below to register your child or fill out the form and hand it in on the first day of Women’s Bible Study. As children grow from infancy into preschool we celebrate their ability to participate in the church community as learners. Children who will turn by September 1 of each year are invited to a special event that introduces them to Sunday School. The special event is for the child and the parent and is held the Saturday before the first Sunday School class in Fall.
