Diapers & Supplies

Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited

COVID-19 has been a very challenging time for families in our community—particularly those who were already facing difficulties leading up to this season. Unfortunately, this has led so many families slipping into crisis, and causing children to need to go stay with relatives. Our friends at Children’s Wisconsin – Community Services (CWCS) have been filling the duffel bags we supplied earlier this year with supplies, but are running out of diapers and wipes. They reached out us and asked if we could help provide supplies to the over 400 kinship providers who are in need. Since we cannot accept these items at our office at this time, we set up an Amazon Wish List that will ship directly to CWCS. You can purchase and donate the diapers and wipes by clicking here. If you’d prefer to purchase the diapers in person and have someone from Eastbrook come and pick it up, please email Dan Ryan at to get connected.…Find Out More

Support Community Organizations

Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited

During COVID-19, many of our partner organizations have seen an increase in the need for volunteers to support their essential work in the community. Some opportunities are behind the scenes while others are working directly with people who are impacted by COVID-19. Please use wisdom and follow recommendations regarding your personal health risk when considering these opportunities.   For up-to-date opportunities from our partners, visit and look for the posts labeled “Lend A Hand”. Otherwise, you can explore these two opportunities we have been asked to help fill: Support local food pantries by helping sort food for distribution at Feeding America at Support Homeless Shelters, particularly the Milwaukee Rescue Mission which are looking for volunteers to help keep their men’s shelter Safe Harbor open during COVID-19. Email Adam at to get started. Still looking for something? Check out other community volunteer needs at the United Way’s special COVID-19 volunteer opportunity page found here:…Find Out More

Be a Family Friend

Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited

As we’ve talked with our community partners, we are all worried that many families in our community are struggling with the current isolation and added stress from the Safer at Home order. To prepare our church to be ready to step into the lives of these families, we are partnering with Safe Families for Children to engage and equip Family Friends from our church membership. Family Friends are people who build relationships with families who are navigating challenging circumstances. They lend a listening ear, provide encouragement and walk alongside these families. This includes doing so virtually during the Safer at Home order through phone calls and video chats. Please use the form below to reach out to Catie Boon about being a Family Friend.…Find Out More

Love Your Neighbor

Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited

As our city and world continue to cope with the impact of COVID-19 and social distancing, a key theme is beginning to emerge. Whether from our church members across the city, or from our partners around the world, our greatest response to COVID-19 is to simply love our neighbors. With our movements restricted, it is those who live and work closest to us whom we have the greatest opportunity (and now available time!) to care for and love. If you haven’t already, a simple and safe way to start the conversation is to send a letter to your neighbors letting them know you’re there for them. We created a draft template here, feel free to change or adapt this as needed. Moving forward, we’re developing a virtual group of like-minded people who will share ideas of how to creatively embody and proclaim the love of Jesus Christ to our neighbors during COVID-19. To join this group, reach out to Dan at…Find Out More
