Sabbath Day: Holy Saturday, April 3

Today is a Holy Saturday in the Christian tradition, the day between Good Friday, when we remember Jesus’ death on the Cross, and Easter Sunday, the day when we remember Jesus’ resurrection. Holy Saturday is traditionally meant for somber reflection on a world of darkness that would exist without the hope of Christ’s resurrection.

Spend some time today reflecting on this past week, Holy Week, and the events that transpired in the Biblical narrative. Spend some time also reflecting on the meaning of Holy Saturday: what would a world be like without the  hope of Christ’s resurrection?

Use today to pray, rest, worship, and reflect on this week’s study.
