Summer of Prayer

“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

At Eastbrook, we’re calling summer 2018 our Summer of Prayer—where we will take time and create intentional space to listen to God in humility. Our NextGen ministries will be teaching our kids about prayer, our weekend worship services will focus on the Great Prayers of the Bible, and as a whole church, we are taking time out of our normal activities to focus on three movements of prayer:

Summer 2018: the summer of prayer

In June, we want to focus on learning to pray wherever we are. As a church, we hope to cover the entire month of June in prayer with Eastbrookers praying for 15 minutes at a time, wherever they are.

In July, we want to focus on learning how to pray together with others. Join us for a week of 24/7 prayer on campus, integrated with worship, intercessory prayer guides, and prayer stations. We will also be encouraging our Life Groups to engage with prayer on a deeper level.

Stay tuned for more information!

In August, we want to focus on learning how to pray together as a church community. On Saturday, August 18, sign up to participate in a city-wide intercessory prayer walk in all of Milwaukee’s neighborhoods.
