What are those abilities the Holy Spirit has brought to your life since you have been a follower of Christ?
Service can and should be pursued in various ways by all recipients of varied grace. Those who have been impacted by the gospel have countless opportunities – both formal and informal – to serve others by greeting at the doors of the church, volunteering in one of our Next Generation ministries, teaching, singing, serving communion, giving financially to the needs of others, opening their homes to their neighbors, etc.
While we encourage newcomers to get plugged into a serving opportunity at Eastbrook, it can also be helpful to take some time to think through how God has shaped you to serve in His kingdom. We encourage you to complete the online assessment below. Take time to invest in to this process, as it will live you a good picture of how God can best use you.
What are those abilities the Holy Spirit has brought to your life since you have been a follower of Christ?
What are you most passionate about? This will energize and motivate your service.
What are you naturally good at or what have your received special training for (through work or school)? Often the skills we develop for hobbies or career can add us as we serve.
How do you like to serve. Introverted? Extroverted? People orientated or Task orientated? Those things will impact how much you enjoy where and how you serve.
What have you gone thru or learned from that could be used for God? Even our negative experiences can be used to help others on their journey with God.
Once you complete the assessment, one of our staff will follow up with you concerning the results and potential ministry roles that would be good fits for your SHAPE.
