I am a Citizen in God’s Kingdom
November 3, 2024
As a citizen of any country, there are things we come to expect. For example, in the U.S. we have the right to vote for our leaders, the right to express our opinions on things, the right to a fair trial by jury, etc. Regardless of where you live or grow up, if you belong to God, you are not just a citizen of your country, you are also a citizen of the kingdom of God. There are privileges and expectations that come with this: We live under the Lordship of Christ – His commands and direction as given in the Bible. We submit to His purpose for our lives as opposed to worldly success. We receive the provision of God – He provides all we need to accomplish His will. We live under His protection – though Satan is opposed to God and His kingdom – God’s Spirit in us is greater than anything that opposes it.
