Monday: The First Reading
Start with prayer. Ask God to impart wisdom to your mind, ask Jesus to relate the words to your soul, and ask the Holy Spirit to illumine your heart to their words.
Read the passage below, slowly, out loud if possible.
Revelation 7:9-10:
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
Read the passage out loud one more time.
Read it once more, this time noting (by circling, highlighting, or underlining) those words or phrases that stand out to you. Mark them in your Bible.
Spend five minutes meditating on those words or phrases.
That is all for today.
End in prayer. Ask God to impart wisdom to your mind, ask Jesus to relate the words to your soul, and ask the Holy Spirit to illumine your heart to their Words.
