Baby Elias ‘Eli’ Raymond Jabbour

Dear Eastbrook Family,

Hi, my name is Elias “Eli” Raymond Jabbour. My parents are Jad and Dena Jabbour. Elias means “the Lord is my God” and it comes from Psalm 22:10 – “I was cast upon thee from my mother’s womb; thou art my God from my mother’s belly.” I think it’s appropriate for what I’ve been through.

I was born at 4:46 pm on Saturday, August 16, weighing 2 lb and almost 6 oz (1070g) and about 14.5 in long. Mommy is doing ok after her c-section; just a lot of pain. I needed a breathing tube to help me out, and a special breathing machine called an oscillator. The doctors say my lungs are stiff, though they expected that; so they’ll keep watching that closely. Otherwise, I’m doing okay for now.

Thank you all for your prayers this whole time. I’ll keep needing them in the NICU!
