What are your responsibilities at Eastbrook?
I oversee many of the care functions at Eastbrook. Hospital and home visits, support groups, and small groups are all part of caring for the whole person. A big part of my job is helping people to know God better through receiving care from the community of the church – in good times and in bad.
What do you love about what you do?
Congregational care is one of the places where faith has to be lived out in real life scenarios. In a crisis, where is God? In day to day life, do our small groups truly disciple each other? From the painful to the ordinary moments, I count it a privilege to walk alongside people, and to encourage them in these real life moments of becoming closer to God and becoming more like Him.
