- Out of the two names of Jesus we discussed this past weekend; which do you resonate with more…. Advocate or High Priest?
- We talked about the Advocate in scripture being the Helper or the Holy Spirit. Put yourself in the shoes of one of Jesus’ disciples. How would you react when Jesus said in John that “I will send you a helper?”
- We talked about the interesting story of Melchizedek and how he set the scene for Jesus to be the ultimate High Priest. Why do you think that Melchizedek’s genealogy information; his birth and death is not mentioned in the Bible?
- Read Hebrews 4:14. What are some things that you need to bring to the throne of grace? Take some time right now to write them down, pray them out loud and ask God to meet you.
- We have talked about a lot of names of God in this series. What names of God do you most resonate with
- How can you go out into the city of Milwaukee this week and be an advocate for someone?
- Take some time to be in quiet with the Lord. Thank him for interceding for you and being your High Priest. In the quietness of this moment ask the Lord to speak to you, and take some time to sit in the silence, if you feel like you hear something, write it down, even if you don’t ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you so you can hear His voice.
