Seeking My Brothers

This past weekend at Eastbrook Church, we began our annual MissionsFest. As we celebrate God’s faithfulness to us as a church for forty years, we are hearing from two of our long-term, international ministry partners on the theme of “Hard Places.”
This first weekend, Rev. Yousef Hashweh spoke to us from the life of Jesus and the story of Joseph about seeking after others in a message entitled “Seeking My Brothers.”

SERMON OUTLINE

Godly love draws the most attention, even in hard places.

Evil people seek others to destroy their lives in different ways.

Our calling is to seek others, to save, and build their lives.

Jesus is our example.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. Are you known by your family and community as a loving person? What mark (1-10) do you give yourself ?
  2. The opposite of love is not hate but apathy (discuss).
  3. What resemblances do you see between Joseph and Jesus?
  4. What solid actions should you personally take to “seek your brothers” in the church and outside.
